Cannot open a group of tabs that I ve saved. No Arrow next to Folder Name in Favorites.
I have Windows Internet Explorer 8 on Windows XP.
Please advise.
Thanks!

From FAQS:
How do I open a group of tabs that I ve saved?

Click the Favorites button and then click the folder that you want to open. Click the arrow to the right of the folder name . All of the webpages will open on separate tabs. When you open a group of tabs in this way, Internet Explorer 8 groups those tabs by displaying a color band at the top the tabs.

0 Is tabbed browsing enabled?

Are you running WinXP SP2 or SP3?
What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall (if any)? Were any of these applications running in the background when you installed IE8?
Has a(another) Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on the computer (e. g. , a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought it)?

I have the same problem as SpikeIt, though with a minor exception: There s an arrow to the right of the saved favorites folder (containing the saved group of tabs), but clicking on it just opens the folder in Explorer rather than opening all the links in IE8.
I m running WinXP SP3 (to be more specific, XP Media Center 2005 with all Microsoft Updates). I m also running Norton Internet Security (latest version as of 2011-01-30). I installed IE8 so long ago that I do not recall what other apps were running in the background at the time of the installation, but likely NIS. I also run Webroot Spysweeper, but it s not usually running in the background (i. e. , I just run it when I want to manually scan for spyware).
Tabbed browsing is enabled, and in every other respect (that I m aware of), IE8 runs fine. This is the first time I ve tried to save a group of tabs and reopen them. Reopen last browsing session works fine.
I ve also tried running IE8 with all add-ons turned off, and I get the same result.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

@DBaker1972 & anyone else with a similar problem: To avoid confusion, please begin your own, new thread about YOUR specific problem and computer. State your IE version and full Windows version (e. g. , WinXP SP3; WinXP 64-bit SP2; Vista SP1; Vista 64-bit SP2; Win7; Win7 64-bit) in your first post. Thank you.
